Tales of the Other Girl

I told tales of her; the girl who changed everything
I talked about her, wrote about her
I dazzled the world with artistic paintings of her
She was the ultimate gem
She was a rare perfection in a black and white world
I whispered to the gods; and she peeked
I could have sworn I saw the world sigh when she walked
She was uniquely built, with such divine outlay
She held such ingenuity the world adored the ubuquity
and when the rain stopped pouring
I chose the other girl
When the tales spread far and wide
I chose the other girl
When the gods leaned over and awaited
I chose the other girl
and the world paused
the rain stopped
the angels watched
and i rooted for the other girl
